It was a mixed day on the market yesterday as the equity markets closed negative across the board, US indices all closed lower for the day as potential US tax hikes hit investors' risk appetite causing a flight to safety. Outdated data of the AstraZeneca vaccine further fueled doubts of a quick economic recovery forcing Germany to extend the current lockdown.
The Yen continues to strengthen against the Pound and Australian Dollar post the release of the BOJ Monetary Policy Meeting minutes released during the Asian session. The Euro remained neutral pending PMI data out of France and Germany this morning.
Brent Crude continued to weaken as it closed the day on $60.40 slipping to a month low as fears of economic recovery caused demand concerns. Gold continues to range between 1720 and 1740 with no clear direction.
