The week in review was fairly positive in review as we saw the US indices and European Indices edge higher as last week’s inflationary data forced a risk on position for the majority of investors. This week will be very interesting to see if the rising inflation will force the Fed’s hand as inflation for last month increased to 5%.

Friday’s Dollar strength following Thursday’s inflation data might be an indication of investors expectations that the Fed might be taking a hawkish point of view to increase rates sooner than expected or at least take actions with regards to asset purchasing. The Dollar strength saw Gold and Silver close the week lower while Brent closed the week out well above $72.
