Virgin Galactic Holdings Inc(SPCE)
Starting 16 February customers will have the opportunity to purchase on of the initial spaceflight reservation to become a Future Astronaut. The aim is to have the first 1000 customers on board at the start of its service later this year. The initial deposit for reservation will be around $150 000.
The confidence of the space travel agency must be high to get its mothership up and running as it has been grounded for 8 months while its Delta-class spaceship is still in development.
The company plans to have 400 fights per year, whether or not it is executable is the big question. Demand would be very interesting to see over the coming weeks on how the initial tranche of passengers line up and at what rate sales will be coming in.
